Exploring how colour and arrangement are a crucial part of visual communication. Learning which colours complement and contrast each other best and now they create moods and feelings.
Our tasks for this project were both analogue and digital. First was painting the colour wheel and a grey scale ladder converted into colour. Next, we re-created the Bauhaus colour and personality exercise with colours that appeal to us as well as with different words/places such as rainforest, Blackpool, misty morning. Similarly we created collages using different media to represent different words/places. For the digital task we were asked to use typography and colour to represent a “problem” of our choice. For my "problem" I chose feminine and used a range of soft and italic fonts with pastel colours mainly pinks and oranges with a contrasting blue or green background.
